Reports broke that Dwayne Wade accepted a position with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) Basketball Division. The details about the role are unknown, but Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports states that it will have an emphasis on corporate consulting involving multicultural brands.

The 2006 Finals MVP played 13 seasons and won three NBA Championships
with the Miami Heat. His late manager Henry Thomas worked for CAA, Wade and the
firm. CAA is one of the top agencies in basketball representing over 40
first-round draft picks and negotiating up to 10 max contracts.

Since retiring Wade has acquired a multi-year contract with
WarnerMedia and is listed as Creative Director for Bleacher Report. It is clear
that Wade is not looking to spend retirement relaxing. On February 22nd
his jersey will be retired by the Miami Heat during a three-day ceremony that
also includes a documentary on day three.

Details of Wade’s new role will be released later, but the
understanding is the it will be a “significant” role with the company. Many
agencies have found success in bringing former athletes on, opening more in-depth
perspectives that are only gained from personal league experience.
