Starting tomorrow, Friday, November 19, certain Maine businesses will be required to close their doors at 9:00PM each day, through Sunday, December 6. With increasing numbers of positive COVID-19 cases and holiday gatherings expected throughout the state, the Mills Administration announces this and other public and safety measures in an attempt to limit any additional exposure for Mainers. The announcement from Governor Mills outlines that all outdoor and indoor amusement venues, movie theaters, performing arts venues, casinos, and businesses that provide seated food and drink service, including social clubs, restaurants, and bars and tasting rooms currently open for outdoor service, will be subject to early closure.
Maine isn’t the only state to announce early business closings, nearby states of Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont have also introduced similar restrictions.
