Rosenhaus Sports, headed by super agent Drew Rosenhaus, has secured former University of Louisville wide receiver Tutu Atwell for representation. Liz Mullen of the Sports Business Journal first reported the news.

Atwell announced earlier this week that he was declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft, but he made it a point of emphasis that he was not opting out for the remainder of the 2020 season for COVID-19 reasons.

“I didn’t quit on my team. They know that, and the coaches know that,” Atwell said, according to the Courier-Journal. “They all understand where I’m coming from and know this is the best decision for me.”

According to reports, Atwell dealt with an undisclosed injury over the last month or so, forcing him to sit out against Virginia on November 14. Despite that, the Miami native still led the team in receiving touchdowns (7) and receptions (46).

There was considerable hype surrounding Atwell coming into the 2020 campaign after his historical 2019 season. He registered 1,276 receiving yards, the most in school history, and 12 touchdowns, tied for a school record. He also had seven 100-yard receiving games, which also tied for a school record, earning him Pro Football Focus first team All-American and first team All-ACC honors.

Rosenhaus Sports also signed Atwell’s teammate, running back Javian Hawkins, for representation last month, after Hawkins opted out of the 2020 season and declared for the 2021 NFL Draft.
