Edward McNicholas balances his time between co-leading Ropes & Gray‘s data, privacy & cybersecurity practice and teaching cybersecurity law and policy at The George Washington University Law School. He has also served as an Associate Counsel to President Clinton and is a frequent writer for various publications on information law and civil liberties topics.
One such publication is RopesDataPhiles, which provides practical data, privacy & cybersecurity tips. Edward comments on matters such as pandemic-related privacy concerns as well as the California Privacy Rights Act. In the meantime, he also is the lead editor of the PLI treatise, Cybersecurity: A Practical Guide to the Law of Cyber Risk.
