On 31 December 2020, the FCA published a new webpage concerning passporting in and out of Gibraltar. The webpage covers how firms can passport between the UK and Gibraltar until 31 December 2021.

On 4 January 2021, the PRA also published a new webpage concerning Gibraltar passporting arrangements. Passporting rights will continue for firms operating between the UK and Gibraltar. Statutory instrument 2019/589 established transitional arrangements for Gibraltar that preserves the status quo of deemed passporting for Gibraltarian firms after the end of the transition period. These transitional arrangements have been extended until 31 December 2021 by another statutory instrument (SI 2020/1274) and can be further extended until such time as the permanent arrangements of the Gibraltar authorisation regime are in place.
