Jennings Strouss Attorney Julia S. Acken Named as One of Az Business magazine’s “Most Influential Women in Arizona Business” for 2021

Phoenix, AZ (July 2, 2021) – Jennings, Strouss & Salmon, P.L.C., a leading Phoenix-based law firm, is pleased to announce that attorney Julia S. Acken was named as one of Az Business magazine’s “Most Influential Women in Arizona Business” for 2021.

This year is the 10th anniversary of Az Business magazine honoring the “Most Influential Women in Arizona Business.” From an applicant pool of more than 2,000 women, Az Business magazine carefully selects 50 of those women based on their impact to their organizations, to the region’s business climate, and to their communities.

Acken focuses her practice in labor and employment law. She has defended numerous companies in gender, race and disability discrimination cases in state and federal court. Acken also has wide-ranging experience representing both public and private entities in EEOC claims, wage payment/overtime, wrongful termination, internal and external compliance audits, internal investigations, and state and federal leave issues. She also currently serves as the Chair of the Firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Chair of the Firm’s Recruiting Committee, and is a member of the Board of Directors for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central and Northern Arizona.
