For the second year running, Hughes Hubbard was recognized as one of the nation’s leading law firms for Art and Cultural Property Law in Chambers High Net Worth guide, which focuses on the private wealth sector.
HHR was again ranked in the second-highest band among the top firms nationwide, acknowledged by market insiders for its “excellent expertise” as well as for “making clients feel they are the most important they have when you know full well that they have many.”
Dan Weiner (Band 1) and Michael Salzman (Band 3) were also recognized as notable practitioners. One industry source said Weiner’s speciality is “his focus on the actual commercial necessity that one needs to hear,” while another praised him for being “knowledgeable, smart, decisive and a pleasure to work with.”
A fellow art lawyer described Salzman as “enormously reasonable” and “smart” with a “surgical” litigation style. He provides “great follow-up in terms of questions and making sure all the information we need is communicated,” an insider added.
