An additional security measure for good measure

I bring you another report from the product team on the critical topic of security. Last month we introduced an additional step in our login process to help tighten security against hackers.

Today I want to introduce you to another addition that will add more protection against evil people and their systems. The new feature is called a “Browser Integrity Check,” and it uses crowd-sourced data from the entire Cloudflare network to look for suspicious traffic to our websites. You may have seen this before on heavily secured websites for financial institutions and Enterprise Internet utility platforms like our technology partner WP Engine.

Screenshot of the browser integrity check.

Next week—when this feature goes into effect—LexBlog clients will notice a new UI appear for roughly five seconds. The web page will feature a message that reads, “Checking your browser before accessing lexblog.com. DDoS attack protection by CloudFlare.” And before you know it, your browser will redirect to the familiar LexBlog login screen. As a user, there is nothing to do but wait until the scan is complete.

Visitors to your blogs, journals and/or microsites will not see this screen. The additional security is only tied to users logging into the LexBlog platform.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our Customer Success team. Likewise, if you need more security features, please consider upgrading to the LexBlog Enterprise platform.

In the meantime, we will continue to look for more ways to secure our platform as every day brings new challenges to Internet security.
