Barely a week after acquiring AI pioneer Kira Systems, and building on its acquisition earlier this year of Foundation Software, the legal technology company Litera is today announcing another acquisition, of U.K. company Concep, a provider of B2B relationship marketing technology for law firms, corporations, and professional and financial services.

Concep will become part of Litera’s new Firm Intelligence business unit, which Litera describes as “a platform that aims to transform disparate data about clients, matters, people, and parties into usable and actionable information.”

“This acquisition brings together the Concep marketing technology and integrated platform — email marketing, event management, and web automation — with the business insight and intelligence of the Litera platform to empower law firms to improve client services and deliver on growth,” Litera said in announcing the acquisition.

Litera has made a series of notable acquisitions over the past two years. Previously in 2021, it acquired goal-setting software company Objective Manager in July; Clocktimizer in April, which tracks and analyzes law firm billing data; DocsCorp in March, a document productivity company; and Foundation Software in January, expanding into firm intelligence.

Last year, Litera acquired litigation management platform Allegory Law, AI contract drafting platform Bestpractix, and table-of-authorities generator Best Authority, and in 2019, it acquired  U.K. company Workshare and deal-management platform Doxly.

“We took a brand called Microsystems that was doing $16 million of revenue in July 2016, and now, five years later, we’ll probably exit this year approaching $200 million,” Litera CEO Avaneesh Marwaha told me in a recent interview.
