Disney Fans Wait In Six Hour Line To Buy Popcorn Container. I don’t go to the theme parks at Disney World anymore. I used to brave high prices, hot weather, and long lines to experience Epcot, and the other parks several times a year. It was a rite of passage from the time I was a young adult in the Seventies, until recently. When a room at a Disney hotel topped $1,000 a night, and the so called budget hotels were over $200, I stopped going. I still enjoy the Disney Springs shopping and restaurant outdoor mall; but, I no longer enjoy spending over an hour in the Florida sun to ride a 10 minute theme ride. I am certain, however, that Disney will still be a draw for a large portion of society, which has more money and tolerance for those things. I am more certain today, when I learned that people are altering travel plans, and standing in line for six hours, in order to have the “privilege” to buy a popcorn container shaped like Figment for $25. Now, I love Figment. Figment is a friend of mine. I loved the Journey Into Imagination experience. I have purchased Figment characters before. I still have one somewhere. But, this is one Figment I will never own. I guess, with age, our priorities change.
