Among many countries, Canada and the UK have seen a visa fee hike as well.
The visa application cost and permanent residence fees have increased for Canadian applications. The hike differs because of the program you go through. The increase in fee is applicable to economic, permit holder, family and humanitarian classes.
Once your permanent residency application is approved, you must pay The Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF), for the ‘permanent resident’ status to be granted.
Whereas the UK has updated its list of fees for immigration and nationality applications, to be applicable from 6th April, 2022.
In 2020, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced that it will be increasing fees every two years to adjust for inflation.
