India-UK Political relations
India and the UK share strong historical and cultural ties. India’s multifaceted bilateral relations with the United Kingdom were strengthened when it was upgraded to a strategic partnership in 2004.

“A trade deal with India’s booming economy offers huge benefits for British businesses, workers, and consumers” quoted Mr. Johnson, at the formal launch of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) talks earlier this year.
This agreement aims to improve the mobility of workers, unskilled and skilled, and for individuals who plan to migrate to the UK for work/business purposes. This might also open doors to new immigration routes or amendments made to the existing ones.
