Phoenix, AZ (September 14, 2022) – Jennings, Strouss & Salmon, P.L.C. is pleased to announce it has strengthened its Corporate and Real Estate, and Business Litigation departments with the addition of Ina Cohen, Logan A. LaFleur and William E. Bassoff as Associates in the Phoenix office.

Born and raised in Bulgaria, Ms. Cohen received her license to practice from the Sofia Bar in 2013 and specialized in business transactions and advising real estate deals, consulting for local and foreign clients on business set up, corporate structuring, contractual relations, and administrative duties. In addition, Ms. Cohen founded and headed PASSPORTS.BG, a program that assists foreign investors, immigrants, and their families, in moving to Bulgaria for a fresh start. After immigrating to Arizona, Ms. Cohen attended Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, where she earned her J.D. in May 2022. During her time in law school, she served as a Legislative Extern at the Arizona Supreme Court.

Ms. LaFleur worked as a Biological Science Technician for the National Park Service in Rapid City, South Dakota, after earning her B.A. in Biology and Philosophy from the University of South Dakota. She later moved to Arizona, graduating magna cum laude and earning her J.D. from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law. While in law school, Ms. LaFleur clerked and externed for the White Collar Crime and Criminal Enterprises Division at the Arizona Attorney General’s Office. She also clerked for a local law firm, where she worked on a variety of matters including contract claims, business torts, and issues involving employment, personal injury, wrongful death, and bankruptcy.

Prior to joining Jennings Strouss, she clerked for the Honorable Paul J. McMurdie at the Arizona Court of Appeals.

“It’s an exciting time to start my career as a corporate and real estate attorney,” said LaFleur. “Although the practice has been incredibly busy while the regional economy has boomed, the talented veterans here at Jennings Strouss have been very generous in sharing their time and their wealth of knowledge to help foster my growth.”

Mr. Bassoff, a Summer Associate at Jennings Strouss in 2021, returns as an Associate in the Firm’s Business Litigation Department. An Arizona native, he earned his J.D. from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, graduating magna cum laude and with the Order of the Coif distinction. Mr. Bassoff served in the school’s Civil Litigation Clinic, providing pro bono legal assistance to members of the community. Additionally, Mr. Bassoff served as an Associate Editor for the Corporate and Business Law Journal and worked as a legal intern for Parabellum Capital in New York, where he gained experience with litigation finance and transactional law.

Mr. Bassoff also externed for Judge Liburdi in the United States District Court for the District of Arizona.
