The program, titled “Balancing the Scales of Justice: Creating Pro Bono Opportunities and Partnerships,” will feature two panel discussions introduced by Texas Supreme Court Justice Brett Busby and moderated by David R. McAtee II, senior executive vice president of and general counsel to AT&T, Inc.

In the first panel, titled “Straight Talk on Pro Bono,” panelists Sylvia Mayer, of S. Mayer Law in Houston; Kate Barry, of Kirkland & Ellis in Washington, D.C.; Scott Young, of Toyota North America in Plano; and Sarah Teachout, of Trinity Industries in Dallas; will engage in a tactical discussion on how to implement best practices and overcome obstacles in pro bono work.

The second panel, featuring Priya Aiyar, general counsel to American Airlines; and Evan Singer, of Jones Day in Dallas; will be a case study on how a pro bono partnership improved the lives of survivors of human trafficking.
