Let kids be kids. I can’t count the hours I ran around Jacksonville, Florida with no adult supervision. I used glass jars to catch minnows in the creek, and played ball in the mud. I can’t remember all the stuff I put in my mouth; but you wouldn’t want to know, anyway. I fished in the lake, and a water moccasin swam up and bumped my toes. I jumped up and ran back to the cabin, unscathed. I realize it is a more dangerous world; but when the kids have to go out into the world, don’t you want them to be prepared?
