Proskauer volunteers prepare and serve meals to vulnerable Londoners throughout the year. As part of that effort, we partner with volunteers from our client Ares Management to serve meals on a monthly basis at the Soup Kitchen, an organization that plays a vital role in supporting the homeless, elderly, isolated, and vulnerable people of London. On September 24th,  Proskauer participated in the Lord Mayor’s Appeal City Giving Day by volunteering with the Soup Kitchen through their homeless outreach program. This initiative facilitates an annual day of volunteering and philanthropy throughout London. Proskauer fielded 20 volunteers whose outreach covered approximately three miles that day. According to partner Alex Griffith: “We participated in a tour of Bloomsbury before walking south through Soho and ending at Charing Cross, stopping to talk to and feed around 80 homeless people. Our guide from the Soup Kitchen knew many of the people we met. We stopped at a number of inhabited tented sites and met individuals and groups who were generally keen to eat and talk to us. It was a very humbling experience.”
