William J. Basileios Chriss is a South Texas appellate lawyer with a Ph.D. in history. He is the author of Six Constitutions over Texas: Texas’ Political Identity, 1830-1900, published in 2024 by Texas A&M University Press.
Justice Evan A. Young was appointed to the Supreme Court of Texas in 2021 by Gov. Greg Abbott and subsequently was elected to a full term in November 2022.
