On Saturday, lawyers from the Katy Bar Association and the Houston Bar Foundation’s Veterans Legal Initiative will be in Katy to provide no-cost counsel to veterans and spouses of deceased veterans. No appointment is necessary for the event, which will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Katy VA Outpatient Clinic, 750 Westgreen Blvd., 2nd Floor.
On-site attorneys will assist with matters in all areas of law, including family, wills and probate, and disability and veterans benefits. If ongoing legal representation is needed, qualifying veterans will be assigned a pro bono attorney to handle their case.
The Houston Bar Foundation also sponsors weekly Friday afternoon clinics at the Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center from 2 to 5 p.m.
