China Ratifies Extradition Treaties With Armenia, Congo, Kenya, and Uruguay

On 30 Dec. 2022, the Chinese legislature, the National People’s Congress Standing Committee, ratified the following extradition treaties.

  • Extradition Treaty Between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of the Congo (中华人民共和国和刚果共和国引渡条约), signed in Beijing on 5 July 2016 by representatives of the People’s Republic of China (PRC);
  • Extradition Treaty Between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Kenya (中华人民共和国和肯尼亚共和国引渡条约), signed in Beijing on 15 May 2017 by representatives of the PRC;
  • Extradition Treaty Between the People’s Republic of China and the Oriental Republic of Uruguay (中华人民共和国和乌拉圭东岸共和国引渡条约), signed in Beijing on 29 Apr. 2019 by representatives of the PRC;
  • Extradition Treaty Between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Armenia (中华人民共和国和亚美尼亚共和国引渡条约), signed in Yerevan on 26 May 2019 by representatives of the PRC.
