We contributed to the Fraud and Abuse Chapter of the Health Law Handbook, 2024-2025 Edition. In the portion of our content, titled “Healthcare Fraud and Abuse Update,” we outlined regulatory developments, key court decisions and noteworthy settlements related to the Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law.

We also examined topics connected to the False Claims Act, such as knowledge/scienter, pleading and proving falsity and materiality, damages, and criminal enforcement, among others.

This 35th edition of the Health Law Handbook brings together 13 articles by 26 authors addressing advanced issues both in newly developing sectors of health law as well as topics that have defined the field for years. The Health Law Handbook, 2024-2025 Edition is published by Thomson Reuters and is available for purchase online.
