Consuelo practices law in Barcelona, Spain, where she focuses on helping our clients protect their intellectual property in Spain, Germany and the EU. Much of Consuelo’s IP work is for entertainment and new technology companies.

Though Spanish is Consuelo’s native tongue, she is also fluent in both English and German. She went to British primary and secondary schools and studied and worked in Germany for three years.

Consuelo earned her law degree from Valencia University and she also studied German law at Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Germany. She then worked at a boutique intellectual property law firm in Düsseldorf while earning her LLM (and advanced law degree) in Intellectual Property. Consuelo defended her master’s thesis before the European Union Office of Intellectual Property.

In addition to her legal work, Consuelo dedicates substantial time to a variety of worthy causes. Early in her career she would work with hospitalized children for the Red Cross in Spain and she currently works with Public Interest Intellectual Property Advisors Inc. (PIIPA), a non-profit that provides free intellectual property assistance to public interest organizations in emerging market countries.
