Daniel B. Levine advises corporate and investment fund clients in Chinese outbound and inbound direct investment transactions.  He helps parties to identify the legal, regulatory and political risks in such transactions and to limit such risks through planning, structuring and negotiation.  Mr. Levine has extensive experience in China-based and  non-China-based public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, leveraged buy-outs, going-private transactions, restructurings, financings, and greenfield investments.  He has advised clients in a wide range of industries, including, within the clean energy sector, with respect to cross-border investments in a PV solar module manufacturer and a carbon-capture technology company.  He was a principal member of the Covington team that co-authored From International to Interstates: Assessing the Opportunity for Chinese Participation in U.S. Infrastructure for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
