Professor Matt Bodie and the the good folks at PrawfsBlawg are putting together what appears to be a great course preparation project where all of the steps in constructing a law school class are commented on and outlined. Matt is starting this project with a topic on choosing a casebook and he lists all of the major classes so profs can comment about books in their area of concentration. He then plans to to discuss supplements, creating a syllabus, planning etc.
What I personally would like Matt to discuss is the planning of a class. I still find it somewhat difficult to plan in advance how many pages we will cover and am a bit nervous including items from the end of the semester on the exam. On the other hand, those topics are often the most important.
