Department of Education to Hold Workshops Concerning the Revised Regulations for the Administration of Medication

The School Health Consultant’s Office of the Connecticut Department of Education has announced several workshop opportunities to provide guidance to nurses and educators on the revised regulations for the Administration of Medication by School Personnel and Administration of Medication During Before- and After-School Programs and School Readiness Programs. Individuals responsible for developing and revising school policies regarding the administration of medication are encouraged to attend.

The workshops will be held from the end of November through the end of January. The registration form, which can be found here, includes the specific workshop dates. All attendees are encouraged to have reviewed the revised regulations in advance of the workshops. The revised regulations, which have only been provided by the Department in draft form, can be found here.
