The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says a Canadian company has recalled sandwiches, burgers and other bakery products because they may be contaminated with Listeria.
The recall by King’s Processing Ltd. of Alberton, Prince Edward Island, includes sandwiches, subs, wraps, burgers, breakfast muffins and bagels, which were produced for Circle K and Sub Delicious stores and distributed in Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador.
There have been no reported illnesses.

Symptoms of Listeriosis can include high fever, severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea. Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk. Infected pregnant women may experience only a mild, flu-like illness, however, during pregnancy can lead to premature delivery, infection of the newborn, or even stillbirth.
