Event: Legal Update for Financial Advisors

Join Ira Friedrich and Steve Brunn on Thursday, September 15, 2011 for a legal update for financial advisors to employee benefit plans.  The seminar will take place at Briggs and Morgan’s Minneapolis office in the IDS Center.  Registration and lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m., and the seminar will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m.
The primary focus of this presentation will be on the most significant legal changes that financial advisors need to know in order to manage their responsibilities and potential liabilities.  Topics that will be discussed include:

  • The status of regulations affecting who is a fiduciary;
  • Fee disclosures at the plan and participant level; and
  • A review of cases that impact the fiduciary responsibilities of financial advisors and plan sponsors.
