Motion to Strike!

Thursday was a day of highs and lows. Our softball season ended at the hands of the D.A.s office (I think they practice – a lot!) in the playoffs. But after our loss, the Miami Heat played a spectacular game seven to win the championship! The city went crazy; as I write this I can see the championship parade from outside my window. I credit the team’s win to the good luck generated by Bilzin Sumberg’s spirit day on Thursday. Everyone dressed up in Heat attire for the day. You’re welcome Miami!

For lunch, I sat in on a firm seminar on bankruptcy given by Jay Sakalo and Jeff Snyder. Strangely, it actually made sense. I’m not sure if it was because I already learned so much about bankruptcy in three weeks or Jay and Jeff are just that good.

We also had the next phase of our Real Estate mock transaction. Our coaches Alexandra and Kent helped us through negotiating the details of a purchase agreement. The negotiation was intense, but in the end, both parties got the major points they asked for. Duck Dynasty is one step closer to owning a fictitious vacant lot in Brickell!
