This week in New Miami news, David Beckham, new international airlines at MIA, Miami’s young adults, the new free trolley service in Miami Beach and Microsoft’s job training program all made headlines.

MLS, Beckham To Launch Miami Team If Stadium Plans OK’d

At a press conference yesterday, it was officially announced that Major League Soccer is coming to Miami.  Negotiations to select a site for the stadium are underway.

Two new airlines coming to Miami International Airport

InselAir Aruba will start service in April between Miami and Oranjestad, Aruba and flights to Santa Cruz, Bolivia on Boliviana de Aviación will begin in May.

Condo boom resonates with Miami young adults

A Facebook study by The Real Deal columnist Peter Zalewski reveals that individuals between 25 and 34 years old are the demographic who most “Like” the 190 proposed condo towers in South Florida.

Miami Beach residents give warm welcome to new Alton Road trolley 

The City of Miami Beach launched a free trolley service to help relieve traffic along Alton Road – much needed as the street is in the midst of improvements along the corridor.

Microsoft launches new tech training alliance in Miami

A new job training program in Miami will include training on basic technology tools needed for entry level jobs, and a partnership to incorporate Microsoft’s IT Academy into K-12 schools.
