Adam SnukalName: Adam Snukal

Office: Tel Aviv / New York

Member of GT since: April 2012

Describe your involvement with the Greenberg Traurig Israel Practice Group: I am very fortunate and blessed in that I am one of two shareholders officially stationed in GT’s Tel Aviv office.  I am intimately involved in growing GT’s technology, media and life science practice throughout Israel.

What should businesses be doing today to plan for successful cross-border work in 2016? Two Suggestions: (1) Israeli companies should be increasing their actual physical presence in those markets they seek to penetrate.  The local companies that have, by and large, been the most successful over the last few years in developing their cross-border work are those that appreciated the need to plant roots in the very markets they’ve successfully navigated.  (2) Focus as much on the process (i.e., quality) of doing business as on the development of technology, itself.

Most memorable moment as a lawyer: One of the most memorable moments that come to mind is when I rescued a deal for, what was then, a new (and desperate) client that parted ways with its law firm in the midst of heated negotiations.  Not only was I able to successfully inject myself into the deal, but I identified and navigated the client through several complex commercial and legal issues.  This deal became a watershed transaction/event for the company, which today is a leader in the field of interactive health care throughout the entire U.S.   I also have the privilege of continuing to represent this company to this day.

Hobbies:  Ice Hockey, Talmud, Travel, and Spending time with my family (and not necessarily in that order).

Favorite quote: I have 3: “Do you believe in Miracles” (Source: Al Michaels, 1980 Winter Olympics), “If You Build it, It will come” (Source: Field of Dreams), and “Start Strong – Finish Strong” (Source: Unknown, but I say this to my children at least 3 times a day)
