MMA Fight-Flick Franchise “Undisputed” Trolls Oregon ISP Subscribers

UN4 Productions, Inc., the purported owner of copyrights in the martial arts film Boyka: Undisputed, has filed BitTorrent copyright infringement suits in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, continuing the status of the Oregon District as a testing ground for new film titles in “troll-style” BitTorrent litigation.

The new cases center on the 2016 action flick also known as Undisputed IV, which stars Scott Adkins as an MMA fighter grappling with the fallout from an accidental death in the ring.  As of this posting, the film has a 57% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with known media critics apparently declining to review it.

The complaints allege that UN4 Productions is “an affiliate of Millennium Media, a production company and distributor of a notable catalog of major motion pictures.” It has been reported that Nu Image/Millennium Films acquired the Bulgarian production company involved in Boyka in 2005, then re-naming it “Nu Boyana.”  Titles affiliated with Nu Image/Millennium Films have been the subject of numerous prior BitTorrent lawsuits, including films such as Mechanic: Resurrection, London Has Fallen, Criminal, Automata, The Humbling, The Expendables, Charlie Countryman and Bad Lieutenant.

Like many other similar lawsuits filed in the District of Oregon, these cases were filed by Salem, OR attorney Carl D. Crowell and Crowell Law. A case listing with links to the complaints is below.

Parties and subscribers receiving ISP notices of these actions can contact attorney Benjamin Justus for a free consultation regarding possible options.
