New WSJ article discusses novel cannabinoids and their effects on health.

THC and CBD are the two most abundant and well-known cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. However, it also produces dozens of others. Research into most of these other cannabinoids has been scarce, but the handful that have been studied show significant potential to assist in a wide array of health issues, from chronic sleep problems to weight loss to mental focus to reducing the growth of certain cancer cells. They include THCV, CBN, CBG, THCA, and CBC. I have a particular interest in these compounds and am working with clients to develop channels for bringing them to the public. I predict a wave (or, rather, waves) of growth and public awareness of them over the next several years.

I recently discussed novel cannabinoids with Amanda Chicago Lewis, a respected investigative journalist who covers cannabis. Amanda has written in depth pieces for Rolling Stone, GQ, Vice, LA Review of Books, and other major media outlets. I am quoted in her most recent article for the Wall Street Journal, which covers novel cannabis compounds, “Not Everybody Must Get Stoned: Pot’s Nonintoxicating Future“. You can read it here. I’ve also embedded a copy of the article below.
