Alucobond Supplier Blames Contractors and Consultants for Faulty Panelling, in Bentham-Funded Class Action

Sydney-based Halifax Vogel Group (HVG) claims that it is not responsible for any faulty panelling installed in apartment buildings throughout Australia, as its Alucobond panels complied with all necessary regulations. Instead, the company lays blame for any alleged fire risk with the contractors and consultants who installed the panels. HVG is facing a class action brought by William Roberts Lawyers, and funded by IMF Bentham, which alleges that the company failed to meet consumer protection standards in producing aluminum composite cladding sheets that carried a material risk of causing or spreading fire.
