This has been a whirlwind September and October. I don’t think I’ve ever presented so many CLEs in this span of time. From Lunch ‘N Learn sessions to plenary sessions at bench bar conferences, I’ve been all over our beautiful state of PA these past two months. For the most part, the travel weather has been accommodating, and the views of our rolling hills, farmlands, and fall colors has been spiritually uplifting. Thanks especially to those of you who took time after my presentation to introduce yourselves, and to comment on the usefulness of my articles, and personal help through the hotline.

I wrapped up my sessions with a large, fully engaged audience at the Lackawanna Bar Bench Bar Conference, where I spoke about Succession Planning. Members commented that my insights gave them much to think about. And left them wanting more. So look for my next column in the Pennsylvania Bar News for more information. I specifically want to talk about what is holding firms back from effectively dealing with this important issue.

The highly organized and efficient crew at the Lackawanna Bar Association: (from left to right, with me at far left) Lee Ann Munley, Executive Director; Abby Stofko, Publications Coordinator; Giianna Cancelli, staff; Kaitlin McDonough, CLE Coordinator. Congratulations on an excellent event!
