The 2018 Farm Bill legalized hemp at the federal level, but there has been little guidance offered to banks and payment processors who are interested in working with hemp-related businesses. In this webinar we will discuss some key developments in the cannabis industry, with a focus on guidance that is helpful for Payment Processors interested in working with hemp and/or marijuana-related businesses. We will also discuss FinCEN guidance issued last month.


Our Cannabis Practice provides advice on issues related to applicable state law. Cannabis remains an illegal controlled substance under federal law.
