In partnership with the US-UAE Business Council (Business Council) and its 2020 “Back to Business” webinar series, our Public Policy colleagues, including former elected and appointed US government officials, joined Danny E. Seabright, President of the Business Council to share their outlook on domestic and foreign policy priorities of the incoming Biden Administration, and their predictions on how the president-elect would work with the 117th – and likely a divided – Congress to effectuate his international agenda.

Former Speaker of the US House of Representatives John Boehner, former US Congressman Joe Crowley, Career US Ambassador Frank G. Wisner and senior associate Ludmilla Kasulke weighed in on congressional dynamics and the prospects for bipartisanship on foreign policy issues, the proposed US$23 billion arms sale to the UAE, and competition with China, among other topics.

The discussion was summarized by the Gulf News.
