The 2021 TABS Annual Conference features sessions and workshops by practitioners in independent schools and legal professionals. Shipman lawyers Morgan Rueckert and Julie Fay along with Julie Faulstich, Head of School for Westover School, will be presenting the following session in-person  at this year’s conference:

Professional Boundary Training: Why You Need It To Protect Students and How To Do It Effectively
November 13, 2021
9:00 – 10:00 AM

Track: Heads & Senior Management Track

Professional boundary training of all faculty and staff is one of the most effective ways to protect students, limit liability and develop a professional yet nurturing campus culture. This session will draw upon the lessons learned from abuse investigations from the perspective of a head of school and legal counsel in identifying common boundary invasions that occur in boarding schools and strategies on how to develop shared responsibility for student safety in your community.
