Today we’re dropping two episodes on the Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard trial.
Finally, Amber Heard takes the stand to defend against Johnny Depp’s claims that she lied about being an abuse victim in her Washington Post op-ed.
In our 5th episode, Ruby and I talk about Camille Vasquez and her cross-examination of Amber Heard. Ruby does a great impression of Camille belly-flopping during her questioning. Did anyone think that Camille was powerful when she played the audiotape of Johnny Depp telling Amber she wasn’t going to ever see his eyes again? We found it ineffective.
In our 6th episode, we discuss the witnesses and the testimony so far, weighing both sides. We discuss what we thought about Amber Heard’s cackling in an audio recording (Ruby defends her, I can see myself cackling like that under similar circumstances), whether Amber’s photos are doctored, and other hot-takes.
We have at least one final episode discussing closing statements and the verdict. We predict that Johnny Depp will unequivocally lose this case, but we’re curious to hear what the jurors have to say.
