In a wide-ranging interview on environmental justice (EJ) issues with Inside EPA, Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP partner Matt Leopold discussed the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) new enforcement strategy.

As the former General Counsel for EPA and a former environmental litigator in the DOJ Environment and Natural Resources Division, Matt offered insights into the effort to institutionalize the new EJ policies at the federal agencies, how it differs from prior national enforcement initiatives, and how it might impact industry operating in EJ areas.
