The study addresses the compliance challenges faced by businesses subject to locally administered taxes, and features a forward authored by Nikki and fellow SALT Partner Jeff Friedman. Stephanie and Nikki cover the legal framework and constitutional concerns surrounding locally administered taxes, focusing on locally administered accommodation taxes. They also discuss the possible solutions to ease the burdens businesses required to comply with these taxes face.
