Manatee County – Florida Highway Patrol has announced that one person has died after being struck by two vehicles in Manatee County Monday Night.
According to the report by FHP, the fatal crash began as a sport utility vehicle driven by a 31-year-old man from Bradenton Florida, with a 38-year-old male passenger also from Bradenton, were traveling south on US 41, south of 51st Avenue Drive West.
A sedan driven by a 79-year-old man from Bradenton, Florida was also traveling south on US 41, south of 51st Avenue Drive West.
As the two vehicles approached, a 59-year-old male pedestrian from Bradenton was attempting to cross the southbound lanes of US 41, south of 51st Avenue Drive West.
At 9:02 P.M. the front of the sport utility vehicle collided with the 59-year-old pedestrian, then the sedan collided with the pedestrian.
The 59-year-old male pedestrian was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
