Bill 91 Royal Assent- October 1st changes to Condominium Act

Bill 91 received Royal Assent yesterday,  it is now ‘law’ – though not in effect until 1 October for Schedule 7 (the Condo Act).  https://www.ola.org/en/legislative-business/bills/parliament-43/session-1/bill-91

We expect to see regulation changes that will be needed to conform with the new amendments to the Condominium Act. https://www.ontariocanada.com/registry/view.do?postingId=44270&language=en

This is a welcome change to our industry.  These permanent changes will now permit condominium corporations to use e-voting and conduct virtual meetings without the requirement for a by-law and no owner consents will be required to provide notices by email.
