SHG partner Matthew I. Hirsch will be a presenter at Penn State’s upcoming Global Career Institute (GCI). The program, to be held at Penn State’s University Park campus on April 6, will include sessions designed to help Penn State’s international graduates prepare for opportunities in the U.S. Featured speakers will include Penn State alumni and friends representing businesses and industries around the world.  For this program, Mr. Hirsch will be providing career-focused international students with practical guidance on how to navigate the complexities of U.S. immigration law as they transition from campus to the workplace.

The invitation to participate in the Spring 2025 event comes on the heels of Mr. Hirsch’s participation in Penn State’s 2024 Global Career Institute (GCI), held at the Great Valley campus in September 2024. At that program, Mr. Hirsch offered practical guidance on how international students and potential employers can meet immigration-related challenges to find opportunity with U.S. employers. Said Mr. Hirsch, “International students in the U.S. work hard, and graduate with high-value degrees in demanding majors; it is in the interests of the U.S. to reduce immigration-related obstacles to opportunity in the U.S. As a Penn State alumni, I take particular pride and pleasure in returning to my alma mater to meet with international students.”
