FCC Commissioner Trusty Announces Staff Appointments

Yesterday, Federal Communications Commissioner Olivia Trusty announced the appointment of several members to her team stating, “I am pleased to announce the talented individuals who will be joining my team. Each brings a wealth of experience, deep commitment to public service, and a shared passion for advancing the Commission’s mission. I look forward to working alongside them as we serve the American people.”

New Team Members:

  • Krista Senell, Chief of Staff/Senior Counsel: Krista Senell brings over 20 years of experience in communications law and policy. Her career spans leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, including positions at Meta and CTIA. Krista holds a Juris Doctorate from Syracuse University College of Law and a Master’s in Television, Radio, and Film from the Newhouse School of Public Communications.
  • William Holloway, Acting Legal Advisor: William Holloway is transitioning from his role as Counsel at the FCC’s Broadband Data Task Force. His expertise includes broadband mapping and wireless infrastructure. William holds a Juris Doctorate from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.
  • Jessica Kinsey, Acting Legal Advisor: Jessica Kinsey served as an Attorney Advisor in the FCC’s Enforcement Bureau. Her focus has been on call authentication and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Jessica holds a Juris Doctorate from Brigham Young University — J. Reuben Clark Law School.
  • Andi Roane, Acting Confidential Assistant: Andi Roane brings extensive experience from her previous roles with former FCC Chairpersons and Commissioners. Her background includes over two decades of executive assistance in the private sector.

Commissioner Olivia Trusty was nominated by President Trump and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in June 2025. Before joining the FCC, she served as a Professional Staff Member on the U.S. Senate Committee on Armed Services and held various roles in the Senate and House Committees. Commissioner Trusty holds a B.A. from the University of North Carolina and an M.A. from Georgetown University.

Virginia is a partner in the firm’s Consumer Financial Services practice and specifically within the Financial Services Litigation practice. She represents clients in federal and state court, both at the trial and appellate level in the areas of complex litigation and business disputes, health care litigation, including ERISA and out-of-network issues, and consumer litigation in over 21 states nationwide. As a result of new legal developments, she increasingly counsels clients to ensure they comply with the myriad of growing laws in the consumer law with a particular emphasis on the intersection of TCPA and HIPAA.
