The biggest change is to our homepage. Instead of the single story blog format, the homepage will now show multiple stories at once. This change allows readers to quickly see all the of the recent stories we have written. The stories will be organized in clear sections which include:
- Featured
- Latest Stories
- Jim’s Opinion
- Trending
- On This Day on CruiseLawNews
- Older Stories
Cosmetically, I finally made the decision to finally scuttle the giant white cruise ship which dominated the upper right of the home page which can be seen on one of the older versions of my blog below.
This redesign has been a family effort. My son, John Walker, and I worked through the changes together over the summer, and we’re excited to finally go live. John will also begin contributing stories, so you’ll see his name more often.
I started this blog in September of 2009 and have stayed with the design for the past sixteen years with th exception of some changes in July, 2018, changing the text from white over a blue background (which many complained was hard on their eyes).
Our motto remains the same, “everything the cruise lines don’t want you to know.” We rely on information from crew and passengers that the cruise industry would prefer hidden. That’s why we have kept the “Report a Tip”. Receiving anonymous information from our readers is vital to our reporting. We will never release the name or publish information about your identity if you wish to remain anonymous.
Lastly thank you to all my avid readers over the years. Cruise Law News wouldn’t be what is today without you.
