On 20 May 2026, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) published on its website a regulatory guide aimed at smaller credit brokers, to help them understand and implement the regulator’s expectations in a way that is proportionate to their business. The guide explains the FCA’s requirements and expectations, and where they derive from. It also includes case studies to illustrate good practice, and a glossary. Firms should consider the guide alongside the FCA Handbook, Consumer Finance Regulatory Priorities Report, and My FCA portal.
