NAPLES FL – Florida Highway Patrol reported a fatal motorcycle crash in Naples Friday Afternoon.
The crash took place as a 22 year old man from Naples was riding a motorcycle southbound on Airport Pulling Road closing on the intersection with Carillon Place during a green light.
At the same time a sedan was traveling north on Airport Pulling Road heading toward the intersection with Carillon Place driven by an 80 year old man from Naples with a 48 year old female passenger during the green light.
At 12:59:00 PM the sedan entered the intersection with Carillon Place and attempted to make a left turn driving directly into the path of the oncoming motorcyclist.
The front of the motorcycle collided with the right side of the sedan at speed.
The 22 year old rider was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
The rider had been wearing a helmet during the crash.
