This week in New Miami news, watch out for traffic on land and at sea, as the 2014 Miami International Boat Show attracts visitors from all over the world.

Miami International Boat Show kicks off this weekend

This year’s show is the largest since 2007, with over 3,000 boats in place. The yearly show is held at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Returning airlines to deliver more flights between Miami and Europe

XL Airways France, a low-cost carrier, will offer three nonstop flights a week between Miami and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport starting May 25. Air Europa will start flying three times a week between Miami and Madrid on June 4.

Report: Florida added 11,610 private-sector jobs in January

Figures from ADP’s payroll processor show the highest gains in the trade, transportation and utilities industries, which created 3,270 new jobs.

EDC to open hub in downtown Miami

Enterprise Development Corporation, a non-profit that supports emerging high-growth companies, will establish a base at Pipeline Brickell, a co-working center.
