Summer is right around the corner, and that means summer camps and programs are soon to be in session. We recently held a webinar, Top Tips for Accommodations under the ADA: Who’s Ready for Summer Camp, for a review of how requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) apply to camps and other youth programs. In this webinar, Linda Yoder and Leander Dolphin offer a timely discussion of top tips for schools, camps, and other programs to consider, such as accommodations, modifications of policies and procedures, provision of auxiliary aids, and safety concerns. The webinar also provides insight for schools and organizations dealing with reasonable modifications and how to determine whether a modification would “fundamentally alter” the nature of the program.
