On November 1, 2020, FIC Restaurants, Inc. of Wilbraham, MA, operator of the casual dining restaurant chain Friendly’s, filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code, along with several affiliates, in the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware (Case 20-12807) in order to facilitate a private sale to Amici Partners Group. The company estimates $10 million to $50 million in assets and $50 million to $100 million in liabilities.
