This is a very short Rainmaking Recommendation, but it is there to remind you to start now!

I know you are busy, but you can find 15 minutes in your day to do one small thing in terms of business development.  That one small thing starts to add up; like compound interest.  This reminds me of a fable that has been told way too many times to count that discusses compound interest.

Would you rather have $1,000,000 immediately, or a penny that doubles every single day for 31 days?   If you take the million dollars, then you have a million dollars; but if you decide on the penny (the one small thing) and it compounds daily by doubling, at the end of 31 days you have $10,737,418.

And this works in any area of your life.

A little more than 2 weeks ago, I started walking for exercise on a daily basis.  When I started, I could barely walk for a mile.  But, in the past 18 days, I have built up to walking more than 1.5 miles. Now, that may not seem like a lot, but I was so ridiculously out of shape that I am thrilled with this progress.  It is my goal to build up to 3 miles by my 30-day milestone.  (And, bonus – it has affected other areas of my life in interesting and positive ways, as well.)

.  The tactics and techniques that are required to build a book of business do not have to be onerous.  I listed 22 of them (and it is in no way an exhaustive list) in this Rainmaking Recommendation.

You can compound your business development by doing one small thing every single day
